Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-06
This Privacy Policy explains what information MCL Invest collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. This is a plain-language draft — it has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and MCL Invest's operator should have it reviewed before relying on it for legal compliance (e.g. GDPR/CCPA obligations that may apply depending on where users are located).
1. Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your plain-text password).
Activity you create: trade-journal entries, quiz attempts and scores, course video-watch progress, forum posts, and support tickets.
Payment records: for PayPal, the order or subscription ID and amount (PayPal handles your card/bank details directly — we never see or store them). For USDT, the transaction reference you submit and the amount claimed.
Basic technical data needed to operate the site (e.g. your session cookie, and standard web server logs).
2. How we use your information
To provide the Service: authenticate you, grant access to content you've purchased or subscribed to, track your course/quiz progress, and operate the community forum.
To verify payments: an administrator manually checks USDT transaction references against the blockchain before confirming a claim.
To respond to support requests you submit.
3. Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It's required for the Service to function and isn't used for advertising or cross-site tracking. See the cookie banner shown on your first visit for more.
4. Who we share information with
PayPal, to process payments you initiate.
Our hosting and database providers, who store data on our behalf and don't use it for their own purposes.
Our live-chat support widget provider, if you choose to use live chat.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account from your account settings, your profile is removed; some records tied to completed payments may be retained where needed for accounting or legal purposes.
6. Your rights
You can review and update your name and password, and delete your account, from Account Settings. Deleting your account removes your login and profile; it does not reverse a payment already made.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access to or export of your data) under laws like the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us through the Support page to make such a request.
7. Security
Passwords are stored using a one-way cryptographic hash, never in plain text. Course videos are served through a signed, access-checked link rather than a public URL.
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests regarding your data, can be sent through the Support page.
